About The Position
Timberline Construction Group is seeking an experienced Underground Utilities Foreman to lead water, sewer, and related utility work. You will supervise a crew of approximately 4-6 people, provide hands-on support in the field, and coordinate daily activities with the project Superintendent. This is a travel position. Your first project will be in Sevierville, Tennessee, with future assignments based on project needs.
Requirements
- At least five years of field experience as a foreman, including experience leading underground utility crews.
- Strong knowledge of water and sewer installation, trenching, pipe materials, and utility construction methods.
- Ability to read plans, organize crews, and communicate clearly with the Superintendent and field team.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel for project assignments.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Nice To Haves
- A CDL is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and direct underground utility installation, trenching, pipe laying, backfill, and related earthwork.
- Lead the crew in the field and provide hands-on support when needed.
- Coordinate work around existing utilities and ensure installations meet plan, grade, and project requirements.
- Monitor production, quality, and schedule; resolve field issues promptly.
- Coordinate equipment, materials, inspections, and upcoming work with the Superintendent.
- Enforce trench safety and other jobsite safety requirements.
- Complete daily timesheets, progress reports, and as-built documentation.
