Heavy Civil Infrastructure Summer 2027 Intern (Geotechnical Construction)
About The Position
Skanska is seeking current students in civil engineering, construction management, and similar disciplines for its Summer 2027 internship program, with this posting focused on geotechnical construction. The program is intended for students pursuing construction-related degrees, though Skanska will also consider candidates without formal education opportunities who demonstrate a strong desire to join the company at an entry level. The pay rate is $25 per hour. Intern positions may include engineering, field engineering (mechanical or civil), geotechnical, cost engineering, safety engineering, estimating, and equipment/maintenance. Interns contribute to work that supports communities and the environment, collaborate in an open culture, and have opportunities to learn and grow at an international construction and project development company.
Requirements
- Working toward a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of the basic phases of construction projects.
- Knowledge of mathematical functions, including geometry and basic algebra.
- Computer skills, including MS Office, HCSS, CGC, or similar tools.
