About The Position

An established and growing heavy civil contractor in Southern California is looking to add experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to its field team. We are looking for true operators who understand grading and earthwork, not simply individuals who have spent time in the seat of a machine. If you know how to read the ground, understand grades and elevations, and can safely and efficiently operate equipment on active heavy civil projects, we want to speak with you. This is a long-term opportunity with consistent work, strong hourly compensation and regular overtime.

Requirements

• Experience with Skid steers
• Experience with Grading equipment
• Experience with Earthwork and site grading
• Understanding grades and elevations
• Experience with Fine and/or rough grading
• Experience on heavy civil construction sites
• Experience working for a heavy civil, grading, excavation, paving, roadway or site-development contractor is strongly preferred.
• Can do more than simply operate the machine
• Understand how to achieve and maintain grade
• Take pride in production and quality
• Know how to work efficiently around other equipment and crews
• Dependable and consistently show up ready to work
• Communicate well with Foremen and Superintendents
• Put safety first without sacrificing productivity
• Want a stable company where they can build a long-term career

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment on active heavy civil projects.

• Work around Foremen, Superintendents and other equipment operators.
• Maintain safe and productive jobsite operations.
