About The Position

The Heat Treat/Tocco Technician plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by ensuring that metal components undergo precise heat treatment procedures to achieve desired mechanical properties and performance standards. This position involves operating and monitoring heat treatment furnaces, including Tocco testing equipment, to verify material hardness and quality. The technician will collaborate closely with production and quality assurance teams to maintain process consistency and troubleshoot any deviations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in heat treatment operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of metallurgical principles and heat treatment processes.
  • Familiarity with hardness testing methods, including Tocco testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, and process specifications.
  • Proficiency in Tocco hardness testing allows for accurate verification of material properties, which is essential for quality assurance.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical documentation ensure that processes are followed correctly and consistently.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills support collaboration with cross-functional teams to address challenges and maintain production efficiency.

Responsibilities
