About The Position

Aerospace Aluminum Processing is looking for a Heat Treat Operator to join their production team. This position involves operating heat treat furnaces, preparing and processing parts, and adhering to written instructions and quality procedures to ensure accurate and safe completion of work. While related experience is a plus, the company is also open to training individuals interested in learning the role. The regular schedule is first shift, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with an initial training period of approximately one to two months. Scheduling accommodations can be discussed during training, and exact start/end times may vary based on production needs. The pay rate for this position is $22 per hour.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to follow written instructions, pay close attention to detail, and use basic math and measurements.
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The role involves working around industrial equipment and regularly handling parts and materials.
Employees may need to lift or move up to 50 pounds; assistance or equipment should be used for heavier items.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Heat treating or manufacturing experience preferred; training is available for candidates without direct experience.

Responsibilities

Operate heat treat furnaces and set up loads according to work instructions.
Attach load thermocouples and monitor processing requirements.
Read, follow, and accurately complete job paperwork.
Inspect parts, perform hardness testing, and straighten parts as trained and directed.
Make process adjustments within established procedures and with appropriate guidance.
Follow quality, safety, and shop floor procedures.
Clean parts and maintain a clean work area.
Assist the Shift Lead and other operators as needed.
