About The Position

We are seeking a dependable Heat Treat Operator to join our manufacturing team on 3rd shift. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring heat treating equipment to process metal parts and components to required specifications for hardness, strength, and durability. The ideal candidate will have experience in heat treating, furnace operation, metal processing, or industrial manufacturing and possess a strong commitment to quality, safety, and production efficiency. Candidates with experience as a Heat Treat Operator, Furnace Operator, Production Operator, Machine Operator, or Manufacturing Associate are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, charts, and technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift moderate weights.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in heat treating, furnace operation, metal processing, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Technical training in metallurgy, materials science, or industrial processes.
  • Experience using temperature controls, gauges, and monitoring instruments.
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor heat treating equipment including furnaces, ovens, and quench tanks.
  • Load and unload parts, baskets, and fixtures safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor temperature, timing, and process cycles to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Follow work orders, process sheets, and production schedules.
  • Inspect heat-treated materials using visual inspections and measuring tools.
  • Record processing parameters, production data, and inspection results accurately.
  • Ensure products meet quality requirements and customer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records to support quality and compliance standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of heat treat equipment.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
  • Communicate production status, equipment concerns, and quality issues with supervisors and team members.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
