About The Position

Performs a variety of skilled duties in hot process operations, required in the production of steel products. This role involves operating various machinery and equipment, adhering to safety and quality standards, and maintaining work areas. Regular attendance and willingness to work various shifts, including mandatory overtime, are essential.

Requirements

• Ability to operate vertical and horizontal heat treat furnaces.
• Ability to rig and fixture products for heat treat.
• Ability to set up and operate hydraulic straightening press.
• Ability to set up and operate coring, sawing and drilling machines.
• Ability to operate gas cutting torches and heat stability machines.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes including cab, radio and/or pendulant controls less than 40’ and over 40’ in elevation.
• Ability to operate industrial vehicles and equipment including mobile boom cranes.
• Perform all work in accordance with plant safety rules.
• Maintain highest quality standards.
• Maintain all reports and recordkeeping as required.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all machines as required.
• Maintain housekeeping in all work areas.
• Regular attendance as scheduled.
• Willingness to work rotating first, second, and third shifts, 24/7 rotations, seven-day schedules.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hydraulic straightening press.
• Set up and operate coring, sawing and drilling machines.
• Operate gas cutting torches and heat stability machines.
• Operate overhead cranes (cab, radio, and/or pendant controls).
• Operate industrial vehicles and equipment including mobile boom cranes.
• Perform all work in accordance with plant safety rules.
• Maintain highest quality standards.
• Maintain all reports and recordkeeping as required.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all machines.
• Maintain housekeeping in all work areas.
• Perform other routine labor work as assigned.
• Attend all required meetings and trainings.
