About The Position

Performs a variety of skilled duties in hot process operations, required in the production of steel products. This role involves operating various machinery and equipment, maintaining safety and quality standards, and performing routine maintenance and housekeeping. The position requires regular attendance and may involve rotating shifts, seven-day schedules, and mandatory overtime.

Requirements

Regular attendance as scheduled is an essential function
Ability to work rotating first, second, and third shifts
Ability to work seven-day schedules
Ability to work overtime (over 40 hours/week) when mandatory

Responsibilities

Operate vertical and horizontal heat treat furnaces
Rig and fixture products for heat treat
Set up and operate hydraulic straightening press
Set up and operate coring, sawing and drilling machines
Operate gas cutting torches and heat stability machines
Operate overhead cranes including cab, radio and/or pendulant controls less than 40’ and over 40’ in elevation
Operate industrial vehicles and equipment including mobile boom cranes
Perform all work in accordance with plant safety rules
Maintain highest quality standards in the execution of assigned work
Maintain all reports and recordkeeping as required
Perform routine preventative maintenance on all machines as required
Maintain housekeeping in all work areas
Perform other routine labor work as assigned and as required in accordance with production flow and/or plant needs
Attend all required meetings and trainings
