About The Position

The Heat Treat lead provides process direction to the operational activities of the Heat Treat Department with the objective of providing quality products with efficient and safe efforts; as well as day-to-day leadership and good communication to all Heat Treat personnel, in addition to any other assigned departments.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.
  • Operation and basic maintenance of gas-powered industrial furnaces.
  • Must demonstrate familiarity with care and operation of basic gauges and measurement devices.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers.
  • Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTC Quality Management System and its policies, procedures, and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with API 5CT products preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verifying equipment is set up properly
  • Verifying personnel are performing tasks properly and following procedures
  • Ensure safety procedures are being followed
  • Ensure a clean working area is maintained
  • Work with maintenance to continuously improve equipment and plan projects
  • Communicating quality issues to the quality supervisor
  • Help operators with changeovers and perform maintenance
  • Making sure the equipment is ready for the upcoming product
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues to keep equipment running
  • Cover personnel’s vacations or call-offs.
