About The Position

This position is responsible for operating plating and heat treat equipment, maintaining equipment, and inspecting parts. The role requires adherence to work instructions and work order specifications for plating, stripping, and heat treat operations. Responsibilities include hardness testing, quench checks and adjustments, equipment maintenance and cleaning, operating a hoist, and following all safety instructions and practices.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow instruction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. multiple times per day.
• Physically able to wear multiple pieces of PPE and work in a hot environment.
• Stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Perform plating operations in accordance with work instructions and work order specifications.
• Perform stripping operations in accordance with work instructions and work order specifications.
• Perform heat treat operations in accordance with work instructions and work order specifications.
• Hardness test parts and document results after heat treat.
• Check quench for proper percentage and adjust as needed.
• Maintain and clean all equipment.
• Operate hoist.
• Follow all safety instructions and practices.
