The Heart Recovery Summer Internship is a structured, hands-on learning opportunity designed for students interested in cardiovascular health and medical technology. Interns will gain exposure to multidisciplinary heart recovery programs, patient-centered care models, and the operational, educational, and research activities that support improved cardiac outcomes. This internship provides meaningful experience in a collaborative healthcare environment while building foundational skills for careers in healthcare, public health, life sciences, or medical technology.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., engineering, health sciences, public health, or related field)
  • Strong interest in cardiovascular health, patient recovery, or healthcare systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or experience related to cardiovascular health
  • Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare, clinical research, or medical technology
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
