About The Position
Princeton NuEnergy (PNE) is a leader in technological innovation for energy materials production, utilizing a patented plasma process for battery materials. Their technology extracts valuable resources from spent lithium-ion batteries, manufacturing scrap, and raw materials. PNE's mission is to provide innovative, cost-efficient, and environmentally friendly solutions for the lithium-ion battery (LIB) recycling sector, contributing to reduced greenhouse gas emissions and aligning with ESG values. The NuStars Summer Internship and Training program is designed to introduce local high school and recent college students to LIB recycling and the clean tech industry. Interns will learn from experienced professionals in areas such as spent battery processing, electrode materials recycling, and electrochemical performance testing. The program involves literature review, laboratory experiments, project management assistance, and observing leadership in meetings, culminating in a formal presentation of learnings.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in high school or the first two years of college
- Able to commute to our lab location
- Demonstrate a strong career interest in the field of STEM study
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites
- At least 16 years old to meet safety requirements for operating laboratory equipment
Responsibilities
