The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine offers a unique opportunity for a Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist to join our exceptional multidisciplinary Program with the opportunity to create a unique clinical practice and engage in teaching and clinical research at a world-class university. Our Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Programs are known internationally for innovation and excellence. As a major transplant center in the Midwest, we have state of the art interventions including durable ventricular assist device implantation, temporary mechanical circulatory support/cardiogenic shock program, and donation after circulatory death for heart transplant. Our Heart Failure team encompasses programs for amyloidosis, sarcoidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension. Our faculty also lead nationally known clinical research in stem-cell therapy, vagal nerve stimulation and drug discovery for heart failure treatment. This position is full or part time, 80%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and repeated every four years. Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Professor or Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor or Professor (CHS) or Associate Professor (CHS) or Assistant Professor (CHS).
