Fair and Fraud Hearings is one of three departments in the Appeals Division of the Office of Chief Counsel (OCC). The Texas Health and Human Services Fair and Fraud Hearings department is seeking an administrative assistant. This position provides administrative support to Fair and Fraud Hearings staff. The individual hired will work at the assigned office location (1501 Circle Drive, Fort Worth) certain days of the week and, after training is successfully completed, may request to telework the other days of the week. Work includes, but is not limited to, responding to inquiries from external and internal partners, gathering and providing information on the hearings process, preparing notices, scheduling appointments, receiving, organizing and uploading evidence, processing incoming and outgoing mail, scanning documents, making copies, creating reports, redacting documents, retrieving data and recordings, and completing other duties as assigned by the Manager. The administrative assistant may assist with calling in for hearings and processing dismissals and withdrawals.
