Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Minimum of five years of operations experience in an industrial coal-fired plant or related experience.
Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within thirty days of hire.
Successful applicants must become an IBEW member within 30 days after employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electric and mechanical utility systems.
Experience with labor contract administration.
Experience with contractor supervision.

Responsibilities

Assist the Operations Manager with the day-to-day operations activities relating to operations personnel, performance, motivational, safety, environmental, and training.
Maintain the EAM maintenance management system, including reviewing work requests and issuing and monitoring the progress of preventive and corrective work orders.
Assist in conducting near miss and accident investigations, communicating findings to work groups, and supporting safe and efficient plant operations.
