Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of five years of operations experience in an industrial coal-fired plant or related experience.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within thirty days of hire.
  • Successful applicants must become an IBEW member within 30 days after employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electric and mechanical utility systems.
  • Experience with labor contract administration.
  • Experience with contractor supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operations Manager with the day-to-day operations activities relating to operations personnel, performance, motivational, safety, environmental, and training.
  • Maintain the EAM maintenance management system, including reviewing work requests and issuing and monitoring the progress of preventive and corrective work orders.
  • Assist in conducting near miss and accident investigations, communicating findings to work groups, and supporting safe and efficient plant operations.
