About The Position

This position reports to the Director of Satellites and requires reliability, flexibility, and a thorough knowledge of the community, organizations, and service agencies. The role involves marketing efforts, promoting services to specific populations, community education, and building relationships between Southside Medical Center and the community.

Requirements

• Familiar and comfortable working in diverse communities.
• Communicates competently with various cultural and socio-economic groups.
• Sensitive to the needs of the client.
• Exhibits leadership and management ability.
• Ability to establish a relationship between Southside and community.
• Ability to establish a network.
• Professional and business-like appearance and work habits.
• High School diploma or equivalency.
• A minimum of two years documented community-based work.
• Liaison between Southside and community.
• Must have access to transportation and current Georgia Driver’s License.
• Must be bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Assists in marketing efforts to specific communities.
• Promotes services rendered by Southside Medical Center to Hispanic and other populations within the target area.
• Provides community education at schools, churches, community centers, etc.
• Make regular telephone contact with various organization to set up meetings.
• Distributes information (flyers, brochures, etc.) on services of center and its satellites.
• Periodically delivers presentations to community and business leaders.
• Supervise outreach worker(s).
• Other related duties as assigned.
