About The Position

Aligned Talent Acquisition is continually seeking experienced Healthcare Transactions Associate Attorneys for opportunities with Am Law 50, Am Law 100, Am Law 200, regional, and boutique law firms throughout the Chicago market. If you have experience representing healthcare providers, physician groups, hospitals, private equity sponsors, or healthcare companies in sophisticated transactional and regulatory matters, we'd love to connect.

Requirements

3–7 years of healthcare transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
Experience representing health systems, hospitals, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, behavioral health providers, private equity sponsors, and healthcare investors
Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client counseling skills
Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction
Excellent academic credentials
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Responsibilities

Representing healthcare providers, physician groups, hospitals, private equity sponsors, or healthcare companies in sophisticated transactional and regulatory matters.
Handling mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint ventures, physician practice acquisitions, reorganizations, and strategic healthcare transactions.
Advising clients regarding Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, corporate practice of medicine, licensure, and other healthcare regulatory matters.
Drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, operating agreements, management services agreements, professional services agreements, and other complex healthcare transaction documents.
Conducting legal due diligence and coordinating sophisticated transaction closings.
