About The Position

Quest International is seeking an experienced Healthcare Software Integration Engineer to support healthcare software integration projects. This is a remote position open to qualified candidates throughout the United States, with a preference for candidates located in California. The role connects medical software applications with hospital information systems and supports reliable transfer of patient information. The engineer configures, tests, and maintains HL7 and DICOM connections; supports connectivity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems; troubleshoots integration problems and system errors; and works with customers and technical teams to resolve issues and complete projects. The role also involves documenting configurations, testing results, troubleshooting, and project updates, and learning new healthcare software applications and integration processes as needed. The position is full-time and temp-to-hire. Compensation is $25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits are available to eligible employees, including during the temp-to-hire period, subject to plan eligibility and other applicable requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Hands-on experience working with HL7 and DICOM systems.
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Experience configuring healthcare software and interfaces.
Ability to test and troubleshoot software connections.
Ability to understand customer requirements and resolve technical issues.
Strong analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to document technical work accurately.
Ability to collaborate effectively with customers and technical teams in a remote work environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SQL databases, including Firebird or Microsoft SQL Server.
Ability to read or understand Pascal programming code.
Experience with hospital information systems and healthcare software applications.
Experience with healthcare software interface configuration and troubleshooting.
Technical project coordination experience.
Experience with technical documentation and software testing.
Experience working with multiple healthcare technology systems.
