About The Position

Oversees daily security operations, supervises assigned personnel, and ensures the consistent delivery of safety, security, and customer service. Our Healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property. Our Security Officers also provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Completed High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift
Must be able to move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.
Must be able to help restrain or lift a person
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet HSS a Tarian company's driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles)
At least 21 years of age (for Armed roles)
Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a weapon (for Armed roles)
Ability to pass the initial and semi-annual HSS a Tarian company's approved firearms training course to demonstrate proficiency in use of firearm (for Armed roles)
Ability to participate and meet the requirements of additional firearms training at the discretion of the firearms instructor (for Armed roles)
Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the HSS a Tarian company Firearms policies (for Armed roles)
Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a TASER position and annually thereafter (for TASER roles)
Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a TASER (for TASER roles)
Ability to participate in and pass additional TASER training at the discretion of the TASER instructor and/or HSS a Tarian company (for TASER roles)
Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the HSS a Tarian company's Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), HSS a Tarian company's Taser Policy (for TASER roles)
Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation
