About The Position

Paladin Security is hiring a Full-Time Healthcare Security Guard based out of Wainwright, Alberta. This role involves creating a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals across east-central Alberta. The position supports multiple healthcare facilities in the region, requiring travel to nearby communities. Paladin provides training, support, and career development, and will assist successful candidates in obtaining their Alberta Security Services Licence.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable traveling to healthcare facilities within the service area
• Ability to work both day and night shifts on a rotating schedule
• No previous security experience is required
• An Alberta Security Services Licence is an asset, but successful candidates who do not currently hold a licence will receive support and guidance through the licensing process before beginning work.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring patient safety throughout the facility
• Conducting interior and exterior patrols
• Controlling access to restricted areas
• Responding to alarms, emergencies, and requests for assistance
• Monitoring CCTV and security systems
• Supporting healthcare staff during challenging situations
• Using communication and de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts safely
• Identifying and reporting security concerns or safety hazards
• Completing accurate incident reports and documentation
• Providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
