About The Position

Paladin Security is hiring a Full-Time Healthcare Security Guard based out of Stettler, Alberta. This position offers a unique 7-on/7-off rotation, providing a predictable schedule and extended time off while building a rewarding career in healthcare security. This role supports healthcare facilities throughout the surrounding service area, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy variety in their work and are comfortable traveling to nearby communities when required. Paladin provides training, support, and career development. No security license is required as we will help successful candidates obtain their Alberta Security Services Licence as part of the onboarding process. Healthcare Security Guards play an important role in protecting patients, visitors, healthcare professionals, and hospital property while creating a safe and respectful environment. You'll combine strong communication, professionalism, customer service, and problem-solving skills while responding to a variety of situations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Requirements

  • Enjoys helping others and serving their community
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Remains calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable traveling to healthcare facilities within the service area
  • Can work both day and night shifts on a rotating schedule
  • No previous security experience is required.
  • An Alberta Security Services Licence is an asset, but successful candidates who do not currently hold a licence will receive support and guidance through the licensing process before beginning work.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring patient safety throughout the facility
  • Conducting interior and exterior patrols
  • Controlling access to restricted areas
  • Responding to alarms, emergencies, and requests for assistance
  • Monitoring CCTV and security systems
  • Supporting healthcare staff during challenging situations
  • Using communication and de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts safely
  • Identifying and reporting security concerns or safety hazards
  • Completing accurate incident reports and documentation
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
