About The Position

This is a long-term contract position for a Healthcare Project Manager/Senior Specialist. The role involves leading onboarding efforts for rural healthcare providers, overseeing personnel and vendor support, and collaborating with clients and stakeholders to define KPIs and improvement strategies. The position requires providing guidance on development platforms, architectures, and business applications, and supporting the full application lifecycle from analysis to maintenance. The Project Manager will also contribute to documentation, drive system improvements, ensure compliance with healthcare policies and regulatory standards, and manage cross-agency coordination.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project leadership and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong background in Health IT, health services, and health policy
  • Experience working with clinical data (preferably in Health Information Exchange - HIE)
  • Proven experience in procurement, vendor oversight, and contract negotiation
  • Ability to define and implement KPIs and continuous quality improvement processes
  • Familiarity with federal funding compliance and CMS program requirements
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex initiatives
  • Willingness to travel within North Carolina or nationally (monthly)

  • Support application lifecycle activities including: Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation, Maintenance & production support
  • Contribute to technical and user documentation
  • Drive software upgrades, conversions, and system improvements
  • Ensure alignment with healthcare policies and regulatory standards
  • Manage cross-agency coordination and communication
