About The Position
Sentara is hiring a Healthcare Operations Management Intern for Fall 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting healthcare operations through communication, workforce planning, and quality improvement. Interns will contribute to projects involving communication workflows, workforce reporting, quality audits, compliance efforts, and performance analytics, aiming to improve processes and the overall patient experience. This is a meaningful learning experience where interns will work alongside a supportive team member, take on real project responsibilities, and assist with initiatives that drive the department's work forward.

Responsibilities
- Support colleagues with project tasks and deliverables
- Help with administrative duties, such as scheduling meetings or preparing reports
- Conduct research and analysis on topics relevant to the department
- Contribute to the development and execution of projects
- Prepare and organize data for presentations and reports
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Communicate ongoing progress related to currently assigned tasks and assist with day-to-day operations.
