Healthcare Operations Management Internship – Fall 2026
About The Position
Sentara is hiring a Healthcare Operations Management Intern for Fall 2026. This remote internship offers 20-30 hours per week for 10-15 weeks. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting healthcare operations through communication, workforce planning, and quality improvement. Interns will contribute to projects involving communication workflows, workforce reporting, quality audits, compliance efforts, and performance analytics, aiming to improve processes and the overall patient experience. This internship provides a meaningful learning experience where you’ll work side-by-side with a supportive team member, take on real project responsibilities, and assist with initiatives that help drive the department’s work forward.
Requirements
- Must be currently pursuing and/or enrolled in graduate level program.
Responsibilities
- Support colleagues with project tasks and deliverables
- Help with administrative duties, such as scheduling meetings or preparing reports
- Conduct research and analysis on topics relevant to the department
- Contribute to the development and execution of projects
- Prepare and organize data for presentations and reports
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Communicate ongoing progress related to currently assigned tasks and assist with day-to-day operations.
