About The Position
Exalt Academy of Southwest Little Rock is seeking a qualified Healthcare Instructor to lead students in health science courses with an emphasis on emergency medical response. The ideal candidate will combine clinical knowledge with instructional skills to prepare students for future careers in healthcare. This role is within a growing CTE program focused on closing the achievement gap for underserved students, equipping them with life-saving and career-ready medical skills.
Requirements
- Hold valid licensure in Nursing, related field
- Be capable of delivering technical instruction to high school students
- Model professionalism and safety in clinical practices
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students and parents
- Promote personal responsibility, teamwork, and ethical practice
- Familiarity with healthcare equipment, technology, and procedures
- Ability to use digital platforms for instruction and certification tracking
- Strong organizational and instructional planning skills
Nice To Haves
- Teaching certification preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Teach courses such as Medical Terminology, Health Science, or EMR
- Prepare students for industry certification exams
- Provide hands-on learning opportunities through labs and simulations
- Maintain accurate records, assessments, and certifications
- Monitor and manage classroom safety and compliance standards
