Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree awarded by a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
  • Active, unrestricted admission to the New Jersey State Bar, with an active admission or immediate willingness to obtain admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Seven or more years of substantive experience handling complex commercial litigation, with a distinct emphasis on healthcare or employment matters within a sophisticated legal environment.
  • Documented first- or second-chair trial experience, including extensive experience taking and defending depositions and leading courtroom arguments.
  • Superb verbal articulation, persuasive brief writing, advanced negotiation capability, and meticulous analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Formulating and executing comprehensive defense and litigation strategies for corporate and institutional entities.
  • Drafting and arguing complex motions, substantive pleadings, master discovery demands, and responses before state and federal jurisdictions.
  • Orchestrating, conducting, and defending critical depositions of key witnesses, medical professionals, and corporate representatives.
  • Representing institutional clients as lead or co-counsel in court proceedings, binding arbitrations, and administrative agency hearings.
  • Providing strategic cross-functional support to interconnected practice groups on multi-faceted business disputes.
  • Spearheading internal process improvements and operational optimizations within the litigation department to enhance client delivery.
