About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Functional Lead and Health Informaticist for the DHS ICE eHR Operations & Maintenance (O&M) program. This role is crucial for supporting the development, functionality, quality assurance, compliance, user acceptance testing, training, and deployment of several eHR applications. The eHR is a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) case management system used to maintain records of medical treatment provided to individuals detained by ICE. The candidate will be responsible for delivering on the current O&M support contract, supporting additional DHS ICE eHR pursuits, and any follow-on client delivery work. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, self-motivated, and thinks outside the box to contribute to the team's exceptional customer ratings.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience with a BS/BA degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Software Quality Assurance Testing experience.
  • 5+ years of Health Informatics Experience.
  • Agile Development and Scrum Master experience.
  • Excellent client communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication, business writing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Exceptional research and analysis skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) or more years in an Enterprise IT Environment, including a minimum of two (2) years working with Health IT Systems.
  • Experience working with EHR administration and configuration (certification preferred).
  • Experience working with EHR systems used in a correctional setting.
  • Experience with Operations and Maintenance of an enterprise system.
  • Experience working with DHS ICE System Lifecycle Management Process.
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master or similar role.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS).
  • Clinical and Health Informatics related certifications (e.g., Informatics Nursing RN-BC (ANCC)).
  • Scrum Master certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME), particularly in electronic Health Records and Health Informatics.
  • Conduct Agile Scrum Master Activities, including meeting facilitation, note-taking, coaching, Kanban board administration, and daily standups.
  • Collaborate closely with the QA Lead to create and review step-by-step test cases and test execution reports.
  • Work virtually with the client, the team, and COTS vendor representatives.
  • Support planned deployments and go-lives, which may occasionally require after-hours support.
  • Support related DHS ICE pursuits and follow-on client delivery work as applicable.
  • Perform all aspects of configuration management, including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, and configuration documentation.
