Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. This position is located at Texas Health Harris Southwest in Fort Worth, TX. The Healthcare Decision Support Analyst will assist the hospital in navigating productivity and support decision making for the future finances and purchase capital of the hospital. This role involves performing financial analysis, data modeling, and data analysis using statistical techniques. The analyst will also analyze variances, participate in benchmarking, prepare decision support reports, perform ad hoc analysis, and ensure data accuracy and validity. Additionally, the role includes developing and leading training programs for decision support systems and explaining clinical and quality-based decision support application topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required upon hire.
• Strong PC literacy with full suite of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel spreadsheets with formulas and preparing and conducting PowerPoint presentations.
• Ability to run data reports and present in useable format.

Nice To Haves

• Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration degree preferred.
• 1+ years Finance or Accounting in healthcare setting preferred
• 1 Year Decision Support experience preferred
• CPA - Certified Public Accountant Upon Hire preferred OR other relevant certification upon hire preferred (HFMA etc)
• Prefer experience with relational database technology

Responsibilities

• Assist the hospital in navigating productivity and support decision making for the future finances and purchase capital of the hospital
• Perform Financial analysis, data modeling and data analysis using statistical techniques.
• Analyze variances reported in order to identify the causes and implications.
• Participate in benchmarking efforts that will be used to measure and set goals for improving performance.
• Prepare and deliver decision support reports to both internal and external customers.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and Power Point presentations.
• Establish data accuracy and validity derived from a variety of systems.
• Work with ITS and other personnel to ensure proper utilization of data.
• Develop and lead training programs for new and current users of decision support system.
• Explain clinical and quality based decision support application topics.
