Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or other relevant area
  • Minimum of 4 years of healthcare experience in a cost accounting, decision support or financial analysis role with strong analytical skills required.
  • Documentation substantiating candidate’s analysis experience, including queries and example reports, will be required for interview.
  • Previous work experience using and managing complex databases.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in accounting, Business, Finance or Healthcare Administration
  • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare analysis experience
  • Experience preferred with Performance Analytics, Epic products, Vizient, and/or other healthcare analytical and operational improvement tools.
  • Healthcare-related finance background
  • Project management skills and/or experience a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to think independently and creatively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that include oral and written communication.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of business statistics.
  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery and financing systems.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Superior word-processing, spreadsheet, graphics and database skills.
  • A self-starter who is motivated to take the initiative in project development.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate workloads for maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to actively listen and be receptive to feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Extracts data, researches health care topics, creates actionable analyses from complex data, and identifies opportunities for improvement to ensure consistency and accuracy of data, while meeting the needs of various multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assists in maintaining and enhancing the functionality of the cost accounting and decision support system, including development of cost accounting standards.
