Healthcare Data Analyst Intern
About The Position
This is an internship opportunity for a Healthcare Data Analyst. The role involves assisting in the gathering, structuring, and analysis of large and complex datasets from multiple sources to identify patterns and trends. The intern will also assist in healthcare claims analysis for identifying billing opportunities, and in the development and enhancement of dashboards and reports for internal or external reporting. Responsibilities include producing professional presentations of data and analyses, assisting in automating report and dashboard delivery, performing data integrity checks, and running reports from databases to prepare spreadsheets for reporting.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science or Business
- 0-3 years’ experience (Healthcare/Medical background a plus); no experience required
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Sufficient written and verbal skills
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
- Must be able to problem solve and adjust priorities with little advance notice to meet deadlines and requests.
- Basic proficiency in SQL, ability to use AI to build SQL queries
- Basic proficiency in PowerBI
- Understanding of statistics
