About The Position
The Healthcare Data Analyst II (ICP), identified in the job summary as an IT Quality Assurance Analyst II, supports healthcare data initiatives involving claims, eligibility, provider, member, and quality-measure data. The analyst partners with business users, data engineers, developers, and project teams to ensure data quality and accuracy across enterprise platforms supporting value-based care and population health programs. The role performs data validation and reconciliation, develops and executes test plans and scripts, verifies technical and workflow requirements, identifies defects, investigates root causes, and communicates findings to technical and business stakeholders. It also identifies opportunities to improve software quality and efficiency. Healthcare experience is required. The position is hybrid and requires residence in Arizona.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of quality assurance, data validation, data quality, or healthcare data analysis experience involving claims, eligibility, provider, member, reimbursement, or quality-reporting data, including SQL for validation, analysis, reconciliation, and testing.
- Healthcare experience.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data reconciliation, filtering, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, including identifying discrepancies, challenging assumptions, and performing root cause analysis.
- Ability to communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
- Hybrid work arrangement; must reside in Arizona.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting ACOs, value-based care programs, or managed care.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server, or similar data platforms.
- At least 2 years of experience using Excel Power Query to transform, profile, cleanse, reconcile, and analyze datasets, and developing or using Excel macros and VBA solutions.
- At least 6 years of quality assurance, data validation, data quality, or healthcare data analysis experience.
- Relevant IT-process certifications, such as ITIL, ISO 9000, SQA, SQL Testing, Security, Six Sigma, or healthcare applications certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform source-to-target validation, data quality testing, reconciliation testing, file ingestion validation, and production data verification.
- Use Excel for data reconciliation and analysis, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filtering, and related analysis.
- Investigate data discrepancies, challenge assumptions, perform root cause analysis, and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
- Test solutions and software using scripts developed from technical and functional requirements.
- Develop test plans appropriate to project scope.
- Develop and execute scripts for functional and system/technical testing, including unit, integration, system, sanity, smoke, interface, regression, performance, load, and security testing.
- Verify that technical and workflow requirements are fulfilled.
- Identify defects and analyze test script successes and failures.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency in software solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
