About The Position

This internship contributes to the overall success of the Human Resources department in Health and Wellness at GBS DR, ensuring that individual objectives, plans, and specific initiatives are carried out or met in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. It ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with regulations, internal policies, and current procedures.

Requirements

• Student of Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, and/or related fields.
• Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word).

Responsibilities

• Support programs and initiatives that foster a positive work environment to improve employee relations and engagement at ScotiaGBS DR.
• Manage the optimal functioning of the medical dispensary, including medication inventory, tracking daily medical attention records, and providing support for medical emergencies.
• Ensure the proper functioning of the lactation room, maintaining an updated control of its use and compliance with its rules.
• Support engagement area activities.
• Perform related and complementary tasks aligned with the organization's objectives, values, norms, and ethics, as well as staying professionally updated and periodically developing/updating a career plan.
• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daily activities and decisions.
• Perform effective and efficient operations in their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's values, its Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations regarding operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk.
