About The Position

Under the direction of the manager or designee, this part-time position supports the functions of the unit/area by performing receptionist and clerical duties. The role involves maintaining the medical record in good form, communicating effectively with ancillary departments and using established systems/protocols. Additionally, the Health Unit Coordinator is responsible for maintaining unit supplies/forms appropriately and assuming responsibility for professional development of self and contributing to the professional development of others. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • No experience required.
  • Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs.

  • May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
