About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a motivated individual to join the Baptist team as a Health Unit Coordinator on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This Health Unit Coordinator role is a Part-Time Nights Weekends opportunity working 24 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday with shifts of 7p-7a and is located at Baptist South. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have confidence working in a clerical role. Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs) are responsible for secretarial activities of the nursing unit.

Requirements

• None
• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree Preferred

Responsibilities

• Answering call lights and phone calls promptly
• Ordering and taking inventory of unit supplies and equipment
• Maintaining patient chart folders
• Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
• Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
