Health Unit Coordinator | Birth Center
About The Position
CentraCare is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to support the Birth Center at St. Cloud Hospital. The HUC serves as a communication link for the unit and supports patient care by assisting patients, families, guests, and providers; managing telephone communications; organizing and maintaining patient charts; and performing clerical and receptionist duties. This is a part-time, onsite position scheduled for 48–60 hours every two weeks. Shifts are 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. The schedule includes every third weekend (Friday–Sunday) and holidays according to unit policy. Starting pay begins at $20.41 per hour and increases with experience; the listed pay range is $20.31–$30.47 per hour. Additional pay is available for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience/knowledge.
- One year of experience with office procedures and equipment, with computer experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
