About The Position

Harmony Gardens is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join their team in Maplewood, MN. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position within a welcoming senior care community. The role involves coordinating information and providing administrative support to ensure a positive experience for residents and visitors. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience as a health unit coordinator, or health information certification desired.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not needed.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
• Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

Nice To Haves

• PointClickCare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter physician’s orders with high degree of accuracy.
• Schedule medical appointments and transportation.
• Maintain electronic medical records for accurate census data.
• Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and facility visitors.
• Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
• Complete other tasks as requested.
