Banner Health is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the Behavioral Medical Surgical team at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. This position is responsible for a variety of administrative support functions and customer service for an assigned patient care area, promoting an organized and efficient delivery of care. The role facilitates communication between physicians and nurses, handles consult calls, and acts as a liaison with internal departments and external contacts. The Health Unit Coordinator may float between Med-Surg and Med-Surg overflow units, including General, Behavioral, Ortho, Trauma, and Oncology. Banner Thunderbird Medical Center has served the Northwest Valley for over 25 years and is a Level 1 Trauma Center with a heart and vascular center, state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a new Emergency department.
