About The Position

Health Unit Coordinator - Postpartum at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Part Time and will work 8-hour, Night shifts. Primarily responsible for the clerical/receptionist activities on the patient care unit. Works under general supervision and direction of the department director, manager, supervisor or charge nurse and according to established policies and procedures. Transcribes physicians' orders, schedules diagnostic tests and therapies for patients, assembles and maintains patient charts, answers telephone, relays other calls and messages and maintains appropriate supplies and equipment levels. Requirements

• Coursework/Training: Unit Specific training.
• Coursework/Training: Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• EPIC patient registration, accommodation change, and patient discharge experience
• Postpartum, Labor and Delivery OR Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic experience
• 1 year of Clerical experience.
• Background in medical center/hospital setting.
