Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a unit secretary, administrative partner or Health Unit Coordinator
Computer skills – Microsoft Office products.
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal, written) and fluency in the English language
Visual and auditory acuity
Ability to identify and distinguish color

Responsibilities

Interfaces with patients, families and visitors to answer inquiries and delegate when necessary
Maintains unit and patient flow, census & assignment boards and records
Processes orders/requests for supplies/equipment
Assists with admission/transfer/discharge process
Monitors continuously for baby alarms and doors for the secure locked unit
Assist Physicians and Nurses with workflow as needed
