About The Position

This position is a potential opening and is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of all required onboarding, credentialing, and background screening requirements. The Health Technician provides patient care support, patient transportation, and administrative assistance within the Radiology/Imaging Department. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists, this role helps ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care for Veterans.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to pass required VA background and credentialing requirements.

• Experience in a healthcare, hospital, radiology, or clinical setting preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely throughout the medical center using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other transport equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for imaging procedures.
• Support clinical staff during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitor patient safety and promptly report changes in condition.
• Respond to emergencies and perform CPR when required.
• Maintain patient records, process documentation, and support imaging department workflows.
• Answer phones, assist patients and visitors, and provide general administrative support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
