Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health System Senior Director - Planned Giving. In this role, the successful candidate will serve as both a frontline fundraiser and program leader, engaging high-net-worth individuals and their advisors in complex and blended gift planning while strengthening the long-term health of the planned giving pipeline. This role sits at the intersection of major, leadership, principal, and planned giving, partnering closely with gift officers, clinicians, and faculty to ensure integrated donor strategies across the enterprise. A key focus of the role will be advancing and expanding the John Revere Society, building visibility, accelerating documented gift intentions, and deepening engagement among NYU Langone Healths most loyal and forward-thinking supporters. The Senior Director will also serve as the institutions subject-matter expert and internal advisor on planned and blended giving, helping elevate fluency, confidence, and collaboration across the development organization. This role is both a lead fundraiser with a personal portfolio and a strategic team leader accountable for annual fundraising metrics, portfolio growth, and the long-term health of the planned giving pipeline. The Senior Director brings deep expertise in complex gift planning and the ability to translate technical financial concepts into compelling philanthropic opportunities. They engage high-net-worth individuals and their advisors to structure complex gifts including bequests, charitable trusts, gift annuities, retirement plan gifts, IRA rollovers, life insurance, and blended gifts while ensuring full compliance, risk mitigation, and proper administration. The role also serves as a key advisor and internal consultant across the Office of Development, partnering with gift officers, institutional leaders, the Legal Department, and Finance teams to advance philanthropic priorities.
