The Health Services Worker I is responsible for participating in the Case Review Process to address health and disabilities program areas, determining special health care needs, restrictions, accommodations, necessary medications, or special diets for children. This role involves performing file reviews, obtaining health and dental information, scheduling health services, addressing health issues, conducting home visits when necessary, and preparing paperwork for clinics. The position also involves implementing Health, Nutrition, and Disabilities programs, monitoring IEP/IFSP goals, conducting in-house staffing meetings, implementing and monitoring procedures for child accidents, health emergencies, medication administration, and hygiene. Additionally, the role involves implementing and monitoring the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), coordinating home visits, monitoring health and safety compliances, planning and coordinating staff trainings, submitting reports, performing data entry, and participating in the collection of non-federal shares. The Health Services Worker also assists in recruitment activities and reports suspected child abuse and neglect.
