About The Position

River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a Full-time Health Service Technician to join their Adult Crisis unit. In this role, employees are expected to develop meaningful relationships with patients, establishing trust and making a difference in the lives of clients and their families. River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services as well as awareness, education and recovery groups.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
At least one (1) year working with behavioral health clients (mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities).

Responsibilities

Attending to clients' needs by listening to their concerns, observing their behavior, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Assisting clients in engaging in social and recreational activities.
Maintaining a secure environment conducive to treatment.
Providing basic patient care.
Supporting clients in developing daily living skills.
Monitors vital signs and promptly communicates findings to nursing staff.
Assists with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, shaving, and dressing as necessary.
Prepares clients for medical treatments or examinations as directed.
Facilitates recreational and social activities for clients.
Observes and accurately documents patient data, behavior, and activities.
Always ensures the safety and security of clients.
