About The Position

The Health & Safety Training Manager develops, implements, and oversees organization-wide health and safety training programs to support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role promotes a culture of safety by educating employees on best practices, risk mitigation, and emergency response procedures.

The manager works with departments to identify training needs, develop tailored curricula, and evaluate training effectiveness. The position also addresses potential hazards and supports continuous improvement to help minimize workplace incidents and promote employee well-being, while maintaining a safe working environment that supports operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all organizational levels.
• At least 3 years of experience in health and safety training or a similar role in an industrial environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable federal and state safety standards.
• Proven experience designing and delivering effective training programs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience managing a team or leading cross-functional safety initiatives.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning content development.
• Advanced training in adult education or instructional design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver engaging health and safety training programs tailored to different employee groups and job functions.
• Assess workplace safety practices and training effectiveness, using data to make improvements.
• Monitor OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards to keep training content compliant and current.
• Collaborate with department leaders to identify safety risks and customize training solutions.
• Manage training records, prepare reports on training activities, and communicate safety performance metrics to senior management.
• Lead incident investigations related to training gaps and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with external safety consultants and regulatory agencies to improve training quality and compliance.
