Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in Health & Safety
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems and data tracking tools
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently within assigned scope
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work in various environments, including dusty conditions, temperature extremes, and production areas
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional walking across work areas
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Review and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global standards and local regulations
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and recommend effective corrective actions
  • Assist in developing, updating, and delivering safety training programs and materials
  • Support the implementation and coordination of safety policies, programs, and best practices
  • Collaborate with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), management, employees, and contractors to promote safety initiatives
  • Participate in plant activities to ensure compliance with safety and health standards
  • Lead and support projects that enhance safety culture and drive continuous improvement
  • Assist with budget tracking and management for safety programs
  • Work with leadership within a union environment to support effective solutions
  • Collect, track, and maintain safety data for regulatory compliance and reporting
  • Conduct workplace assessments and recommend corrective actions to address risks
  • Coordinate follow-ups to ensure timely resolution of identified issues
  • Maintain accurate health and safety records within centralized systems
