About The Position

Establishes and maintains quality standards for the Prevention Department as it relates to occupational health and safety service delivery to internal business partners and external customers. This position will work closely with members of the management team to assess compliance with processes and procedures and support the development of training and education to improve consistency with injury prevention service delivery. This will require the generation and analysis of statistical information to validate the success of programs and/or processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other related fields, or eligibility for certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).
• Minimum of five years of experience demonstrating the following:
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality assurance, safety management systems and program evaluation processes.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to make effective and intuitive business recommendations.
• Working knowledge of non-profit corporations.
• Working experience with adult education.
• Working knowledge and experience with the Employment Act, OH&S legislation, quality assurance and safety management system development, administration and maintenance.
• Ability to research and make recommendations to support continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships and partnerships by utilizing strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as a team member to effectively organize work and accurately complete assigned tasks.
• Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of quality assurance, quality control and evaluation processes for occupational health and safety initiatives, WCB targeting strategies and related injury prevention processes.
• Report to management on employees’ quality of work and adherence to established processes and procedures to ensure consistency of customer service.
• Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure WCB carries out the oversight responsibilities as outlined in the Safety Association Funding Agreement. Monitor and report to management on quality and adherence to the WCB Safety Association Funding Policy, WCB Safety Association Funding Agreement and Guidelines.
• Monitor and report to management on the adherence to and quality of departmental processes and procedures. Collect, analyze, and maintain records of quality reports, statistics, and any other relevant documentation as required. Conduct regular quality assurance reviews on Prevention department policies and procedures and makes recommendations for improvements.
• Under the direction of management, provide skills development and retraining support to Account Managers and Health and Safety Consultant staff as it relates to quality assurance/quality control processes and procedures.
• Provide support to management in the orientation of new employees to their industry portfolio as it relates to quality assurance/quality control processes and procedures with injury prevention services.
• Work with internal and external supports in the ongoing maintenance and development of the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
• Provide information, advice and recommendations to management related to the current trends in quality assurance/quality control based on health and safety principles, continuous process improvement, and related occupational health and safety legislation.
• Travel by motor vehicle to conduct work related activities throughout the province.
