About The Position

Worksite Safety is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Health & Safety Instructor to join their team, specifically for the delivery of their CPO-approved Working at Heights program. This part-time, hourly-based position is located in London, Ontario, and involves delivering engaging and informative training to job seekers, the general public, and members of the construction industry. The role offers independence within a friendly, supportive team environment, with the opportunity to make a significant difference in people's lives by promoting construction safety education. Requirements

  • 3+ years experience delivering training
  • Background in construction management and/or other fall hazard-related industry
  • Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team
  • Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
  • Valid Ontario’s Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
  • Able to legally work in Canada

Nice To Haves

  • Working at Heights training experience preferred
  • MEWP training experience considered an asset
  • Work experience or certification in occupational health & safety preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging and informative Working at Heights training to job seekers, the general public and new and current members of the construction industry
  • Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
  • Potentially delivering other courses in the future such as Forklift Training, Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) Training, Confined Space Entry and Rescue and more
  • Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
  • Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops
