Health, Safety & Environment Manager
About The Position
The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager (Building Group) will be part of the HSE team that develops policies, strategies, standards, internal controls, and technical systems to manage risk and improve HSE performance across the organization and its projects. This role involves developing and maintaining specific HSE management systems to ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws, regulations, and codes for all company operations and assets. The position supports incident reporting and investigations, analyzing trends for senior leadership. It also involves supporting building operations by collaborating with Facilities Managers to ensure HSE compliance through routine audits. The role requires developing initiatives, programs, and tools to enhance awareness and strengthen the HSE culture, collaborating with internal teams on best practices, and building effective, operations-focused tools and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in construction, safety, environmental, or compliance.
- Solid understanding of HSE management systems, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Possess a high level of technical expertise, ability to apply skills to continuous process improvement while maintaining maximum levels of health, safety, environmental compliance.

- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Administration
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate
- First Aid Certificate
Nice To Haves
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain specific HSE management system that supports compliance with the applicable federal, provincial and local laws, regulations, and codes for all company operations / assets.
- Support incident reporting and investigations.
- Compile, analyze, interpret, and report on potential incidents trends to Senior Leaders and the VP, HSE.
- Support building operations, working closely with Facilities Managers to ensure compliance with applicable HSE laws and regulations, including routine audits.
- Develop, initiatives, programs and tools to help support awareness and strengthen our culture.
- Collaborate with internal teams and business lines on best practices and innovative ideas that continually drive improvements.
- Build tools and procedures that are effective and operations focused.
- Support incident reporting and investigations.
