About The Position

We are looking for a talented 3rd Shift - Health, Safety and Environmental Tech - Level IV - OFFC to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Ladson, SC. In this role, you will make an impact by championing a proactive safety culture, strengthening HSE compliance and governance, driving risk reduction and corrective actions, enhancing emergency preparedness and employee awareness, supporting environmental stewardship and sustainability, ensuring quality and operational excellence, promoting continuous improvement through collaboration, and building organizational capability and engagement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and experience in health, safety, environment or related field.

Nice To Haves

• A two-year University degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Management, Sustainability or related field is recommended.
• Demonstrated experience working within a Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS) in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems), and ISO 50001 (Energy Management Systems), including their application to operational processes.
• Experience supporting HSE initiatives, regulatory compliance activities, hazard identification, risk assessment, incident prevention, and corrective action management.
• Previous experience participating in safety committees, audits, inspections, investigations, or continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
• Candidates with prior HSE, EHS, Safety, Environmental, Industrial Compliance, or related operational experience will be strongly preferred.
• Prior exposure to HSE management systems, regulatory compliance requirements, and manufacturing safety processes is highly beneficial.
• Relevant HSE knowledge and practical experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.

• Optimize processes and continuous improvement efforts: Evaluate existing workflows, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and implement sustainable improvements that enhance safety, compliance, and performance.
• Communicate and influence with impact: Deliver clear, audience-focused communications, address difficult issues with confidence, and foster awareness and engagement around HSE initiatives.
• Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and accountability: Embrace challenges with urgency and enthusiasm, learn from setbacks, leverage diverse perspectives, and consistently deliver results in complex and evolving environments.
