About The Position

The Health Promotion Coordinator works as a team member in a dynamic group that delivers primary preventive services to a diverse population. This role reports to the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Director and assists in providing health assessment review as part of the standardized Fort Bliss in-processing program. The coordinator serves as a liaison to unit commanders and H2F for the provision of primarily prevention and health promotion education services. They will coordinate and conduct on-site screening sessions with activities and participants, make copies as required, extract and assemble data, and create reports. Additionally, the role involves serving as an Administrative Support Assistant to the H2F advisor when not performing health screening duties, with responsibility for providing screening appointments for active-duty personnel. This includes collecting, entering, assembling, sorting, and extracting data for new arrival and resiliency screen results reports, contacting supported units to manage screening appointments, receiving telephone calls, relaying messages, and compiling required administrative forms and documents.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a health-related field.
  • 1-year experience working in health promotions.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associates degree with an emphasis on mental health is preferred.
